Doubt
Doubt happens.
To Sarah. Elijah. Jeremiah. John the Baptist. Thomas. Me.
Doubt wants to believe but when confronted with the truth and reality of God, and what He does, Doubt can’t let go.
Doubt clings to the safety of its own experience, its own knowledge rather than move forward, rather than venture into the wild with God.
But embracing belief changes us forever.
That’s why Jesus gently meets us at the point of doubt, at the core of our struggle.
“Peace. Reach out. Stop doubting and believe.” John 20:26-27
