Have you ever read Matthew 5:1-12 and Psalm 1 together?
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.
Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The messages are the same.
Blessing follows godliness, follows righteousness.
Godliness comes from knowing and following God’s instructions.
Do I?
Do I hunger and thirst for righteousness?
Do I have a pure heart?
Do I delight in God’s instructions?
Do I avoid ungodliness?
Do I lead others into that same blessedness by my example and by my words?
