Power and Glory

By Paula Wiseman

power-and-glorySo I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory. Psalm 63:2

We can go to worship to be encouraged,
to be uplifted,
to be energized for the coming week.

We can go to meet with other believers,
to be with family,
to hear God’s word.

We can go to be part of the ministry,
to share our testimonies,
to use our gifts.

We can even go because it is our custom,
fulfill an obligation
obey a command.

But if I come to the sanctuary of God for any other reason
Than to SEE the POWER and GLORY of GOD,

I will miss the point.
And I will go away empty.
