Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.”
“I’ll go with Him thro’ the garden,
I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him thro’ the garden,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
I’ll go with Him thro’ the judgment,
I’ll go with Him thro’ the judgment,
I’ll go with Him thro’ the judgment,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
And go with me, with me all the way.

Read Luke 9:57-62
(The call to follow Christ is no small thing. It should never be taken lightly. Christ Himself cautions us to consider the cost. He doesn’t sugarcoat how things will be, nor does the hymnwriter. I will go with Him through crushing agony and sacrifice. I’ll go with Him through searing judgment. Sobering commitments, indeed. But we must not overlook the promise in the fourth stanza which reflects Christ’s promises to us. Grace and glory. Focus on those. Focus on the Savior who calls. And follow wherever He leads.)
