Once I got going as a writer, I quickly learned I needed a good, succinct answer to the question, "What's your book about?"
It's about a couple trying to put their marriage back together after he cheats on her. Passable.
Then once I started promoting it, I needed a statement in 140 characters or less.
Bobbi Molinsky knows forgiving her husband's infidelity is the God-honoring thing, but it is just the beginning of her struggles.
A little more specific. A little more compelling.
Honestly, this tip isn't a just a book promo. You can use this same technique when you study. As you wind down your study time, take a moment to consider how you would answer the question, "What did you study today?"
Now create a summary statement.
Here's an example- My Sunday school boys and I studied Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42. Here's my summary statement. Jesus expects us to serve others, but He places an even higher premium on worship.
Taking the time to craft a sentence to sum up what you've learned will help you remember it and help you share it.
What have you learned lately?

This gives me something to think about when I'm reading and studying. I'll have to try it next time I'm studying! Thanks for the post!

Tremendous passage and summary Lynn! You also point out a sobering reality. May we always be diligently at work, seizing those opportunities.

Acts 16:16-33
God has positioned each of us uniquely to be able to reach a certain person/people with His love. What if you really are the only hope that someone has?
