Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me. I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you. Isaiah 44:21-22
Memory is a tricky thing.
I can remember my phone number as a kid
Better than I can remember my kids’ phone numbers.
I can remember hurts and mistreatment.
Failures and embarrassments
Sometimes more easily than joy and love and peacefulness.
God calls on His people to remember:
He formed us, created us.
We are His servants and He has redeemed us.
And He promises that He will not forget us.
He won’t get busy or overbooked
We won’t slip His mind.
But look at what He forgets.
Our transgressions – blotted out, erased, covered by a cloud
Our sins – evaporated like a mist.
Remember that.
I’ve had some hiccups with my email service provider lately. We believe things are all straightened out but in case you missed a post or two, here are the links for the most recent posts. Thank you for reading. Psalm 73:28
